| Hello, I did a search but could not find if anyone is using Studio One on a Mac mini? I see in system requirements a core duo, 4gb ram is recommended. I have a Mac Mini 2.4 duo, 8GB Ram how would Studio One V2 run on it? thanks for your time. |

I'm not running on a Mac mini, but have been running on a Core2Duo with Win 7 in the past and it was performing just fine. Maybe you can install the demo and see how it runs? |

| Thanks for the replies. I don't actually have a Mac Mini at the moment. I'm considering getting one though. My Windows laptop is getting creaky and i'm tempted to change to a Mac. I can't really stretch to a MacBook Pro or iMac but a mini would be more affordable. |

| S1 Pro v2 is running really well on my mini! I've been running v1 on this machine for 2 years, and it worked fairly well, but as the # of tracks grew I would have to watch the amount of FX and instruments if I wanted to record with low latency <8ms. I have just done a few recordings with v2, but it seems to be performing even more efficiently than v1! I could do more tracks with more FX before I needed to increase the buffer to avoid dropouts. Your mini is even better than mine, so you should be golden! |

| Thanks for the feedback on the Mac mini. I'm still in two minds at the moment whether to go for a new PC or a Mac mini. I need to take my time and decide carefully. It's going to be a big outlay either way. Cheers for all the replies, your input is much appreciated

| We use a lot of Mac Mini's at tradeshows and they always do fine with StudioOne and our hardware. The new MacMini's are actually quite peppy and if you are able to get at least 4GB of RAM, you should be totally fine. Kind Regards, |

| There are some live sound guys here who use the Mini with their SLs, and they seem very happy with the performance they get -- makes a nice portable setup. |
